| + | Daniel J. Schmidt was born Oct. 8, 1895 on a farm near Halstead, Kan. to Jacob A. R. and Katherine Schmidt. He died on Aug. 23, 1972 in the Trinity Hospital, Dodge City, Kan., reaching the age of 76. |

| + | Father grew to manhood in the Halstead community where he received his education. At the age of 23 he surrendered his life to Christ, and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite on June 23, 1918. He remained faithful to his vows until death. |

DANIEL J. SCHMIDT
Daniel J. Schmidt was born Oct. 8, 1895 on a farm near Halstead, Kan. to Jacob A. R. and Katherine Schmidt. He died on Aug. 23, 1972 in the Trinity Hospital, Dodge City, Kan., reaching the age of 76.
