DEATH CALLS AMISH MINISTER

Goshen, Ind. — Min. Christian J. Miller, 80, well-known Amish minister of rural Topeka, died unexpectedly at his home on Nov. 2 after having taken part in church services the previous day.

A native of this area, he served in the ministry for more than 50 years and was the oldest Amish minister in point of service in the Northern Indiana region.

His first wife, the former Katie Kauffman, died in 1987 after about 50 years of marriage. They had no children. After her death he married Mrs. Mattie Fry, widow of Bishop Enos Fry of Topeka.
