The tragedy occurred while Eilene [''sic'' Eileen] was swimming in Two Butte River [''sic'' Two Butte Creek] with her brothers Leslie and Stanley and a companion, Charles Parker, all of Ulysses. Parker failed in an attempt to rescue her, and the body was recovered by county authorities. | |||
Surviving in addition to the parents and brothers are another brother, Sheldon, at home; and grandparents, Mrs. Linda Jantz of Winton, Calif. and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Koehn, Ulysses. | |||

17-Year-Old Kansas Girl Drowns in Colorado River
Ulysses, Kan. — Funeral services were to be held at Phillips Mortuary here Aug. 2 for Eilene [sic Eileen] Koehn, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Koehn who drowned Sunday while swimming at Two Butte [sic Two Buttes] Colo.
The tragedy occurred while Eilene [sic Eileen] was swimming in Two Butte River [sic Two Butte Creek] with her brothers Leslie and Stanley and a companion, Charles Parker, all of Ulysses. Parker failed in an attempt to rescue her, and the body was recovered by county authorities.
