Two Workmen Killed When Ladder Blows Onto Power Line

New Wilmington, Pa. — Ben B. Shetler of the Amish settlement here was one of two workmen killed by electric shock while preparing to make roof repairs at a rural residence.

Shetler and the other man were holding the metal ladder when it was blown over and hit a power line, causing instant death. A third workman had his foot on the bottom rung, but escaped with burns.

Relatives and friends from several states attended the large Amish funeral on June 9.
