Freeman, S. D. &#8212; Rev. Hugo J. Mierau, 56, a minister of the General Conference Mennonite Church, died at the Freeman Hospital on June 10 after a long illness.  He had undergone brain surgery in Minneapolis, Minn. in February.
 
Funeral services were conducted June 12 at the Salem-Zion Mennonite Church.  Rev. Virgil Gerig, the pastor, officiated.
 
A native of Henderson, Neb., Rev. Mierau was active in pastoral work until his illness.

Minister Dies At Freeman Hospital After Long Illness

Freeman, S. D. — Rev. Hugo J. Mierau, 56, a minister of the General Conference Mennonite Church, died at the Freeman Hospital on June 10 after a long illness. He had undergone brain surgery in Minneapolis, Minn. in February.

Funeral services were conducted June 12 at the Salem-Zion Mennonite Church. Rev. Virgil Gerig, the pastor, officiated.

A native of Henderson, Neb., Rev. Mierau was active in pastoral work until his illness.
