DAVID R. DYCK

David Ralph Dyck passed away May 29 He was born May 8 1933 in Burwalde Man. to John L and Helena Dyck. At 16 he was baptized and joined Winkler MB Church. He graduated from high school in Winkler and received his Bachelor of Science (1956) and Bachelor of Education (1959) from the University of Manitoba. He obtained his PhD in History of Science from the University of Wisconsin in 1967. He taught at the University of Winnipeg for 30 years. He retired from the University in 1996. Following retirement, he was dean of Concord College, and assisted in the creation of Canadian Mennonite University. He also taught at Lithuania Christian College. He was a faithful member of River East MB Church, Winnipeg, where he taught Sunday school, served as moderator and sang in the choir. He also served the Manitoba MB Conference on the management and personnel committees. Whatever job he undertook, he always did it to the best of his ability. He is mourned by his wife, Roberta (MacNair); children James, Patricia and Michael; 5 brothers. The funeral was June 2 at River East MB Church.
