AMISH MINISTER CALLED BY DEATH

Kalona, Ia. — Fred Nisly, 60, a minister in the Old Order Amish Church, died at his farm home northeast at Kalona on Oct. 1 following a long illness.

Funeral services were held at the Sunnyside Conservative Mennonite Church on Saturday morning, Oct 3.

Min. Nisly was a native of near Hutchinson, Kan. and moved to Iowa in 1931. He was ordained in 1943.

Survivors include his widow the former Katie Miller, five sons, four daughters and 14 grandchildren.
