She often sang while she worked. They moved to Herbert in 1955. They travelled with their children and with their siblings. Predeceased by son Victor, 1 grandson, 1 great-grandson and her siblings, she is mourned by John, sons Abe, Bill and Lorne of Herbert, Harry of Calgary, Wesley of Riverhurst; daughter Elsie Peterson of Herbert; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 step-grandchildren.
