— Mrs. John F. Penner, 52, of Southeast 10th Street died Monday morning at Bethel Deaconess Hospital after a long illness. The former Laura A. Nachtigal of Buhler, she had lived in Newton since 1936 and was married here to Mr. Penner in 1942. He survives with two daughters, Mrs. Lee Grochowsky of Mesa, Ariz. and Cheryl of the home; two sons, Marlow of Emporia and Lyndal of Tempe, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Waldo Harms of Whitewater, Mrs. Arthur Kaiser of Newton, and Mrs. Roy Terry of Wichita; two brothers, Eldo Nachtigal of Buhler and Harlow Nachtigal of Kimball, Neb. funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church, with Dr. Albert Epp officiating.
