Amish Father Meets Instant Death When Kicked by Mule

Ephrata, Pa. — A 29-year-old Amish farmer met instant death recently when kicked by a mule at his farm near New Holland.

Jacob S. Glick and his hired hand were in the farm yard, and as Glick tried to adjust the harness on the mule, the animal kicked with both hind legs, striking him in the face.

Survivors include his wife, Mary A. (Zook) Glick, and four children of the home, and the parents, David S. and Bena Glick of rural Leola.
