— Adolph E. Franz, 61, a lifelong resident of this community, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, Aug. 19, after suffering a heart attack. He had operated the Newton Manufacturing Co. for a number of years. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church, of which he was a member. Rev. Paul Isaak of Inman officiated. Mr. Franz is survived by his widow, the former Helen Flaming; a daughter, Mrs. Larry Don Koehn of Newton, three sons, Donald of Wichita, Jerald of Broomfield, Colo., and Delbert of Boulder, Colo., four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Andrew Busch of Arvada, Colo.; and two brothers, Marvin and Walter of Newton. | |||
