ERNA KLASSEN

Erna Klassen died Feb. 16 in Winnipeg. She was born July 2, 1914 in Barvenkovo, Ukraine and came to Canada with her family in 1925, living first in Giroux, Man., then in Winnipeg. She was a nurse in Winkler, in Mexico with MCC, privately and at the Rehab Hospital in Winnipeg. She was baptized in 1931, joining North Kildonan MB Church, Winnipeg. She enjoyed travelling with her friend Clara Schellenberg, and her camera. She is mourned by sister Anne Wilms. The funeral was Feb. 20 at Klassen Funeral Chapel, Winnipeg.
