—  Thad S. Beck, 81, who farmed in the Hesston community for many years, died May 27 at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge.  A resident of Schowalter Villa in Hesston, he had suffered a broken hip in a fall.  Funeral services were conducted Saturday forenoon at the Hesston Mennonite Church, with Rev. Peter B. Wiebe in charge.  Mr. Beck leaves a son, Howard, of rural Halstead; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Sommerfeld and Mrs. Curtis Yoder of Hesston and Mrs. Waldo Miller of Belleville, Pa.; one brother and two sisters; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
