Funeral services for Peter A. Voth, 79, of rural Canton were conducted Friday afternoon at the Alexanderwohl church near Goessel. Rev. Ronald Krehbiel, the pastor, officiated. Mr. Voth died May 3 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital. He married Agatha Schroeder at Goessel in 1920 and they resided on farms near Goessel except for two years' residence in Newton. Survivors include the widow, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Eldon Schmidt of Route 2, Newton, Mrs. Bill Voth of Route 1, Walton, and Mrs. Joe Guerra of Kansas City, Kan.; three brothers, Henry of Lamar, Colo., Walter of Hillsboro, and Theodore of Newton; five sisters, Mrs. Susie Hege of Corn, Okla., Mrs. Emma Janzen and Mrs. Adina Meek, both of Newton, Mrs. Mathilda Krause of Hillsboro and Mrs. Rubena Schmidt of Buhler; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
