STANLEY THOMPSON SHIELS
Stanley Thompson Shiels died May 21. He was born to Samuel and Mary Shiels Mar. 2, 1942 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He apprenticed in shipbuilding, then earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He accepted Jesus as Saviour and was baptized at 17. He renewed his faith in 1981. He married Margaret in May 1969. They lived in Scotland, then moved to Ontario. Stan worked for Ontario Hydro and Imperial Oil. He had his own en- gineering company the last 6 years. He travelled widely and was surprised at the number of believers he met. He was a devoted father. He is mourned by Margaret; daughters Sonia and Dianne; 3 grandchildren; his parents; 2 sisters. The funeral was May 24 in Orchard Park Bible Church, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., with Ray Russell ministering.
