• Peter Mueller, 87, who had been cared for at a Moundridge nursing home the past seven and one-half years, died there March 18. The funeral was conducted Friday forenoon at the Bethel College Church, with Rev. Russell Mast officiating. Mr. Mueller was a native of Bavaria, Germany and came to the Halstead community at the age of 22. He was married there to Anna Schowalter, and they farmed near Halstead for many years before moving to Los Angeles, Calif. Surviving are four sons, Alfred of Halstead, Herbert O. of Linwood, Calif., Edgar H. of Downey, Calif. and Harold V. of LaVerne, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. P. R. Kaufman of North Newton, Mrs. Olga Franey of Downey, and Mrs. Lubin Jantzen, missionary in India; two sisters, Katherine and Caroline Mueller of Halstead; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. | |||
