• Mrs. Marie Schroeder, 74, died March 21 at the Bethesda Home in Goessel where she had been a resident since 1958.  The funeral was conducted Sunday afternoon at the Goessel Mennonite Church, with Rev. Levi Koehn in charge.  The former Marie Goertz, Mrs. Schroeder was married to John P. Schroeder in 1917.  They farmed north of Goessel before moving to the Home in 1958.  Mr. Schroeder died in 1961.  Survivors include sons Rick J. of Newton, E. Kenneth of rural Canton and Lloyd of rural Newton; 10 grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
