WALDO J. LOEWEN

Waldo J. Loewen, 48, of Ebenfeld Church near Hillsboro, Kansas, was killed suddenly in a car accident on February 28. He was a son of Peter and Katherine Loewen, formerly of Collinsville, Oklahoma, and now of Hillsboro, and was married to Mary Kroeker, daughter of M. A. Kroeker of Hillsboro. He was the father of seven.

A dedicated member of the Ebenfeld Church, Waldo served as church choir director, Sunday school superintendent and teacher and more recently as church council member and church moderator. He also served on the local school board for six years.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, James, Elaine, Harold, Helen, Christine, Douglas and Darlene; his parents and parents-in-law; as well as three sisters and a brother.
