•  Word has been received here that Mrs. Dorothy A. Slabach, 60, wife of Leo K. Slabach of Windom, died Sunday at Hercy [''sic'' Mercy] Hospital in Moundridge after a 10-month illness.  The funeral is to be held Wednesday afternoon in the Quiring-Glidden Chapel in McPherson with Rev. Edward Birky of the West Liberty Mennonite Church officiating.  Mrs. Slabach, the former Dorothy Wilke, was a lifelong resident of McPherson County.
