3-YEAR-OLD AMISH GIRL FATALLY INJURED WHEN STRUCK BY BALL
Millersburg, Ohio. — A children's game of "ball” resulted in the death of three-year-old Melinda [sic Malinda] U. Miller at an Amish farm near here Sept. 4. Her two sisters and a brother were playing with neighbor children, tossing a ball back and forth, and somehow it struck Melinda on the chest and she died soon afterward. It is believed the impact ruptured an artery.
She is survived by the parents, Ura and Mary Weaver Miller, and grandparents, Martin A. Millers of Millersburg and Harry Weavers of Route 4, Wooster.
