ANNA BOLDT
Anna Boldt of Coaldale, Alta. passed away Oct. 29. She was born Feb. 27, 1893 to David and Anna Braun in Elisabetthal, southern Russia. When she was 12, they moved to Siberia, living in Omsk, then Slavgorod. She accepted Christ at 17 and joined the Mennonite Church. On June 29, 1914 she married Peter Boldt, a teacher in the Slavgorod district. They immigrated to Canada in 1924. They lived in Manitoba and then Standoff, Alta., where he taught for 31 years. She devoted her life to caring for her family. She also kept busy tending her garden, especially the flowers. They joined Springridge Mennonite Church. In 1952 she joined Coaldale MB Church, remaining a member until her passing. In 1967 she moved to Coaldale Home for the Aged. She was thankful for her comfortable room, friends and family visits. Predeceased by hr husband in 1961, children Woldomar, Peter and Lydia in Russia and Frieda and Annie in Canada and 3 grandchildren, she is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Janzen of Pincher Creek, Alta.; sons Peter of Victoria, B.C., David and John of Calgary, Menno of Lethbridge, Alta., Rudy of Nelson, B.C. and Ed ward of Winnipeg; 24 grandchildren and 20 gn,at-grandchildren. The funeral was Nov. 2 in Coaldale MB Church, with Rudy Heidebrecht ministering.
