• Funeral services for David G. Schmidt, 68, were held Friday forenoon at the Goertz Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. John Ratzlaff, pastor of the Parkview M. B. Church, officiated. r. Schmidt died June 14 at Salem Hospital where he had been a patient since February. The son of Jacob and Anna (Groening) Schmidt, he never married. He farmed in the Hillsboro-Cresswell area all his life. | |||
