Berne, Ind. — Wildas Liechty, 57, manager and part owner of the Globe Hatchery here, died unexpectedly May 25 while undergoing surgery at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Liechty's condition had not been serious, and the cause of death was not immediately apparent.
Funeral services were held Saturday forenoon at the First Mennonite Church here, of which he was a member.
Mr. Liechty was long active in the hatchery business, and had been associated with the firm here since 1940. He leaves his widow, the former Dorothy Wittwer, five children and several grandchildren, brothers and sister.
