A native of this community, Min. Miller was ordained in 1937. About 800 persons attended the funeral, held at the family residence. | |||

Amish Minister Killed on Highway Near Kalona, Ia.
Kalona, Ia. — An accident on the highway north of here April 21 resulted in instant death for John A. Miller, 66, a minister of the Old Order Amish Church.
Min. Miller and his niece, Annie Yoder, were en route home by horse and buggy after viewing the body of a relative at a Kalona funeral home when the buggy was hit from the rear by a car. Min. Miller was thrown to the pavement, but his niece escaped injury.
