JACOB J. LOEPP

Jacob J. Loepp of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away June 18. He was born Jan. 6, 1894 to Jacob August and Elizabeth Loepp in Friedensfeld, No.3, Zagradovka. In November, 1918 he married Anna Fast of Blumenort, No.7, Zagradovka. They committed their lives to the Lord during meetings led by Franz Klassen of Tiege. In September, 1926 they were baptized. They immigrated to Canada in 1926, and lived in southern Manitoba for a short while before settling on a grain farm near Gem, Alta. For two or three years they moved to Courtney on Vancouver Island, but returned to Alberta. They adopted 2 boys. In 1945 they moved to a dairy farm in East Chilliwack, B.C. In 1966 they moved to Clearbrook. Anna passed away Aug. 19, 1971. On June 2, 1972 he married Maria Klassen, a widow. They moved to Sherwood Home when health became poor. He is mourned by his wife; sons Jake of Dawson Creek and Henry of Langley; stepchildren Mary Wiens of Clearbrook, Tena Teichrob of Chilliwack, Hilda Born of Matsqui, B.C., John of Brazil, Frank of Arizona and Lore Reemeyer of Clearbrook; 25 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. The funeral was June 23 in Clearbrook MB Church, with Jacob Pauls and John E. Klassen ministering.
