•  Obed Johnson, 68, retired farmer of Halstead, died Saturday at Topeka State Hospital after a long illness.  Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Grace Mennonite Church near Halstead, with Rev. Kenneth Smith officiating.  Survivors include the widow, the former Esther Holdeman of Hesston; a son Errol of Halstead; three daughters, three brothers, three sisters, and 13 grandchildren.
