Aged Minister Dies At Grabill, Ind.
Berne, Ind. — Rev. David Sauder, retired minister of the Grabill Evangelical Mennonite Church and a lifetime resident of the Grabill community, died there May 28 at the age of 95. Funeral services were held at the church on Friday.
Rev. Sauder, a charter member of the Grabill E. M. Church, served as pastor until 1945. During his active pastorate, the church was located near Leo, ind. and was known as the Leo Mennonite Church.
Survivors include one son, Rev. Jerry Sauder, a daughter, Miss Mabel Sauder, and two daughters-in-law, all of Grabill; three sisters; and a number of grandchildren including three great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Pioneer Minister at Grabill, Ind.
Grabill, ind. — Memorial services for Rev. David Sauder, 95, were held May 27 at the Evangelical Mennonite Church here, of which he was the co-founder. Rev. Daryl Platt and Rev. Don Klopfenstein officiated, and burial was made at the Leo Memorial Cemetery.
The pioneer minister was born here Sept. 26, 1869, and died at his home in Grabill on May 25. He was ordained as a minister in early manhood, and was an active pastor and evangelist of the local church from 1898 to 1912. He continued to serve the congregation as interim pastor until 1945.
Survivors include one son, Rev. Jerry Sauder, who was pastor of the church here for a period of 25 years, and one daughter, Miss Mabel Sauder, who served as a missionary in the Congo under the Congo Inland Mission for 15 years. She returned to the homeland to care for her parents. Her mother, Lydia Sauder, died in 1955.
Also surviving are two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Ethel (Henry) Sauder and Mrs. Mary (Irvin) Sauder; 12 grandchildren, 30great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Schertz and Mrs. David Grosh of Grabill, and Mrs. Daniel Gerig of Angola, Ind.
