HENRY K. NEUFELD

Henry K. Neufeld was born in Russia on October 26, 1885 and passed on to glory on May 28, in the Calgary General Hospital. He accepted Jesus as his Saviour in his midteens, and was baptized on confession of faith on September I, 1902. In 1904 he moved to Canada, and four years later married Elizabeth Rempel in Winkler, Man.

The Neufelds homesteaded near Kelstern, Sask., in 1910, and farmed there until retiring to Calgary in 1946. Mr. Neufeld was always active in church life. He loved the church and was a charter member of the Kelstern (Sask.) Mennonite Brethren Church. He was also a founding member of the Herbert (Sask.) Bible School. During the years of 1947-1958 he served as a deacon in the Bridgeland Baptist Church in Calgary. In 1950 he moved to the Highland Community in Calgary, and joined the Highland Mennonite Brethren Church where he has been a faithful, loyal and praying member.

He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth, in 1966, and by three children. He is survived by two sons, William and Peter; four daughters, Lena, Beth, Mary and Tinaall of Calgary; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildrenBold text
