A native of this community, she was married here to Sam R. Steckley in 1915. They lived in Iowa city for several years before taking over the store operation. | |||
Beside her husband she leaves three sons, one daughter, 20 grandchildren, four sisters and three brothers. | |||

Wife of General Store Owner Dies in Iowa
Kalona, Iowa. — Mrs. Sam R. Steckley, who with her husband operated the general store at Joetown for the past four years, died at her home in Joetown on Dec. 20. She was 69. A native of this community, she was married here to Sam R. Steckley in 1915. They lived in Iowa city for several years before taking over the store operation.
