Indiana Farmer Dies Of Gunshot Wound
Goshen, Ind. — An accidental gunshot would sustained while hunting on Thanksgiving Day claimed the life of Robert J. Yoder, 37, farmer residing northwest of Lagrange. He died Dec. 11 at a Fort Wayne hospital where he had undergone surgery for his injuries.
Mr. Yoder was hunting alone on his farm, and his shotgun discharged as he tried to crawl through a fence. The blast struck him in the lower abdomen.
Hearing his cries, family members though [sic] he had shot a deer. A 13-year-old son went to the scene and found him.
Funeral services were conducted Dec. 14 at the Shore Church.
