Iowa Farmer Killed When Tractor Overturns

Kalona, Iowa. — Lloyd Rensberger, 56, rural Wellman farmer, was found dead in a roadside ditch under his overturned tractor shortly after 10 a.m. May 21.

Rensberger had been spraying weeds in a field and was traveling on a gravel road.

He was a member of the Johnson County Fair Board and the Extension Council and served as president of the Johnson County Agricultural Assn. in 1963.

Funeral services were held May 23 at the West Union Mennonite Church. Immediate survivors include his wife, the former Fern Guengerich, and daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Phyllis) Kornhaus of Marshallville, Ohio.
