Friends, Neighbors Pick Corn Crop for Widow

Mt. Lake, Minn. — Friends and neighbors gave much appreciated assistance with fall harvesting at the farm of Mrs. G. G. Quiring, whose husband died July 25, 1963, of a heart attack.

Mrs. Quiring and son Gerhard had ben unable to pick the corn because of wet weather. Friends held picking bees at the farm in late October and again on Nov. 14, and some of them also gave assistance in between. As a result, about 90 acres of corn was picked and safely stored.

Among those assisting were men from the Bethel Mennonite Church, Mt. Lake.
