Lancaster, Pa. Book Store Manager Dies
Lancaster, Pa. — Funeral services for Ford Berg, 45, manager of the Weaver Book Store in Lancaster, were held Sunday afternoon at the Neffsville Mennonite church near here.
Mr. Berg died in General Hospital Oct. 17 after being ill several months.
A native of Dalton, Ohio, he had been manager of the store here since 1958. It is believed to be one of the largest religious book store in the United States.
He was a graduate of Goshen College and Goshen College Biblical Seminary and had done graduate work in journalism. He formerly was employed at the Mennonite Publishing House, Scottdale, Pa. and was pastor of the Zion Mennonite Church, Birdsboro, for three years.
Survivors include his wife, the former Rebecca Garber; and six children, all at home, as well as three sisters.
