Father of Five Dies In Threshing Accident

St. Jacobs, Ontario. — A tragic harvest accident in this community claimed the life of Orville Snyder, 37-year-old farmer and the father of five small children.

While helping with threshing operations at the farm of his brother-in-law, Roy Brubacher, he somehow slipped and fell into the feeder of the separator, resulting in instant death.

He was a member of the St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, and the largely attended funeral services were conducted at that place.

Arrangements have been made for Lavern Brubacher, son of Roy Brubacher, to assist Mrs. Snyder and children in carrying on the farming. She is the former Mabel Martin.
