Metamora, III. — Funeral services were held at the Roanoke Mennonite church Nov. 9 for David H. Schertz, 85, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Harnish in Eureka Nov. 6. He formerly engaged in farming in this community.

Other surviving children are Emanuel E. of Eureka, Raymond and Christian of Washington, and Mrs. Matilda Ulrich of Eureka. There are 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

RETIRED FARMER, 85, CALLED BY DEATH

Metamora, III. — Funeral services were held at the Roanoke Mennonite church Nov. 9 for David H. Schertz, 85, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Harnish in Eureka Nov. 6. He formerly engaged in farming in this community.

Other surviving children are Emanuel E. of Eureka, Raymond and Christian of Washington, and Mrs. Matilda Ulrich of Eureka. There are 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
