CHARTER MEMBER CALLED BY DEATH

Kalona, Iowa. — Funeral services for Mrs. Jake J. Miller, 81, a charter member of the Upper Deer Creek Conservative Mennonite Church, were held June 21 at the Fairview Mennonite Church.

Mrs. Miller died at her home here June 19, ten weeks after suffering a stroke.

The former Ida M. Swartzendruber, she was born at Inman, Kan. and later lived at Vandalia, Ill. In 1905 she was married to Jacob J. Miller, and they farmed in the Wellman-Kalona vicinity for many years. He died five years ago.
