Henry J. D. Janzen, son of John and Katharina Janzen, was born April 11, 1888 at Henderson, Neb. where he grew up and received his formal education.

As a young man he moved to Munich, N. D. It was there that he was converted to Christ and was baptized in the year 1910.

On April 14, 1912 he was united in marriage to Annie Enns. Six sons and one daughter were born to this union.

In October 1924 the family moved to Shafter, Calif. Up until the time of his retirement Mr. Janzen had been employed at the local high school. This position he held for 30 years.

Bro. Janzen enjoyed the deep affection of his family and was held in high esteem by a wide circle of acquaintances. In his Christian life he revealed an unfailing loyalty to his Lord and Saviour. This was evidenced in his everyday life and in his faithful attendance and participation in the church services.

On May 5 at about 4:45 p.m. Mr. Janzen departed this life to be with the Lord. For a number of months he had been bedfast at his home and had been cared for by his loving wife. He attained the age of 75 years and 25 days.

Left to mourn his departure are his widow, Mrs. Annie Janzen of Shafter; six sons, Elroy and Kermitt [''sic'' Kermit] of Shafter, Darrell of Wasco, Calif., Myron, Wendell, and Robert of Bakersfield, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Gloria Knoweles of Fresno, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother and one brother, John, of Pico Rivera, Calif.

HENRY J. D. JANZEN

Henry J. D. Janzen, son of John and Katharina Janzen, was born April 11, 1888 at Henderson, Neb. where he grew up and received his formal education.

As a young man he moved to Munich, N. D. It was there that he was converted to Christ and was baptized in the year 1910.

On April 14, 1912 he was united in marriage to Annie Enns. Six sons and one daughter were born to this union.
