DEATH TAKES GERMAN MAYOR, FLORIDA GOVERNOR
Death removed two widely known political figures from the official scene last week — one in Germany, the other in Florida.
Ernest Reuter, bitterly anti-Communist mayor of West Berlin, died unexpected at his home from heart attack. He was 64 years old. On the same day in Florida, Gov. Dan McCarthy lost his long struggle against heart trouble and pneumonia. He was only 41. it was less than nine months since he came into office.
