&bull;  Funeral services were conducted at the First Mennonite Church on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 16, for Mrs. Elizabeth Jantzen Bergman, 78, widow of Abraham Bergman.  Rev. Arnold Epp, the pastor, officiated.  A resident of the Bethel Home for Aged, Mrs. Bergman died on Dec. 13.  She had been a resident of Newton since 1917.  Surviving are a sister, Sister Rose Jantzen of the Bethel Home; a step-son, C. F. Bergman of Newton; and two step-daughters.
