Wife of Retired Pastor Dies at Berlin, Ohio

Sugarcreek, Ohio. — Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Sommers, 79, wife of Rev. Simon W. Sommers, were held March 14 at the Martins Creek Mennonite Church near Berlin, with Paul Hummel and Roman Stutzman officiating.

A native of the Kidron community and resident of this area for 33 years, Mrs. Sommers died March 11 at the home near Berlin after a two-year-illness. Her husband is pastor emeritus of the Berlin Mennonite Church, of which she was a member.

Surviving in addition to Rev. Sommer are two sons, five daughters, 25 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
