&bull;  Mrs. J. R. F. (Elizabeth) Schmidt, 87, died Saturday evening at the Bethesda Hospital in Goessel.  A former Newton resident, she had lived in Goessel since 1953.  Mr. Schmidt died in 1946. Surviving are four daughters, four sons, two sisters, 30 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.  Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Alexanderwohl Church, with Rev. Aaron Epp in charge.
