Nappanee, Ind. — Funeral services for Valentine Gerber, 57, who died Sept 18 while driving a stock truck on U. S. 6 west of here, were conducted at the North Main Street Mennonite Church of Nappanee.
A farmer and trucker, Mr. Gerber had lived near Milford, ind. for the past 17 years. He was hauling a load of cattle when fatally stricken. A passenger, James Chambers, guided the truck to a stop along the highway.
Surviving are the widow, the former Alma Mullett, and eight children; his mother, Mrs. Dan Eash of Topeka, Ind.; one brother and four sisters.
