MRS. KATHARINA WIEBE

(Mrs.l Katharina Wiebe was born on October 15, 1903 in Neu Rosengart, Ukraine. She passed away quietly in the early morning of May 12, in St. Catharines, Ont. From her youth she loved the Lord, and was baptized and joined the Mennonite Brethren Church upon her confession of faith.

On September 21, 1924 she married Peter Wiebe. Her husband predeceased her in Paraguay in 1949. For the last 21 years she lived in Virgil, Ontario and attended the Mennonite Brethren church there. She loved to read God's Word and to be present at as many church activities as possible. Her children will miss her prayer intercession on their behalf.

At a funeral service in the Virgil Church acting minister John Klassen spoke on the text of Psalm 23, stressing the fourth verse.

She leaves to mourn two sons and their wives, Peter and Tina, and Ernie and Elaine; two daughters, Mary (Mrs. Peter) Friesen and Tina (Mrs. Jacob) Hildebrandt; three sisters, Helene Winter, Sara Schellenberg, and Maria Vogt; two brothers, Paul and Hans Wiebe in Germany; 17 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many friends.
