Birth date: 1908 Feb 26
text of obituary:
(MRS. ANNA GOERTZEN)
(Mrs.) Anna Goertzen was born February 26, 1908 near Horndean, Man., the daughter of John and Sara Heide. By grace she became a member of the family of God in 1928, and two years later was baptized and received into the Grossweide Mennonite Brethren Church.
On September 26,1926 she married George Goertzen. From the time they were married until 1973 the couple made their home two miles north of Horndean, at which time they moved to Winkler, Manitoba. They enjoyed each other's company and often experienced the grace and strength of the Lord.
Mrs. Goertzen's health had been poor for many years. During the last 12 years she suffered much from cancer. However, she found new strength daily from her Lord. She passed away on January 6 in the Winkler hospital.
She leaves to mourn her beloved husband, George; one daughter, Rosie, and her husband, David Dyck, and one grand-daughter.
