— John P. Schroeder, 75, retired farmer and insurance agent of Goessel, died at the Bethesda Hospital there Sunday evening. He had been hospitalized since Friday due to a stroke of paralysis. funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Goessel Mennonite church, with Rev. Levi Koehn in charge. Mr. Schroeder was a lifelong resident of Marion County. He is survived by his wife, the former Marie C. Goertz; thee sons, Richmond J. of Newton, E. Kenneth of Canton, and Lloyd S. of Route 2, Newton; two brothers, sep en sisters and 10 grandchildren. | |||
