ABRAHAM JOHN WIEBE
Abram John Wiebe was born in Orloff, Sagradowka on January 27, 1889. His par ents were John and Katharina (nee Friesen) Wiebe. At the age of 14 he lost his mother.
The Spirit of God convicted him of his need of a Saviour and he accepted Christ at the age of 21.
On June 32,1912 he married Anna Stobbe. This union lasted 63 years until death parted them on May 22, 1975.
The Wiebe family emigrated from Russia to Canada in 1925. They farmed in Manitoba for 18 years . In 1944 God led them to Yarrow, B.C. The following year he became a member of the Yarrow Mennonite Brethren church through baptism. The fellowship in the church was very precious to him. He appreciated the Sunday school class in a special way. He also enjoyed the music and singing and showed great interest in church growth and the private school.
In 1972 the Wiebes celebrated their dia mond wedding anniversary.
He enjoyed good health until 1969. During the last three years he was an invalid and patience and g ratitude were exempla ry to h family and friends . H e had entered notes a n underscored ma ny passages in his Bib which indica ted his attitude toward others.
The Lord called him home on May 22 age 86.
He was predeceased by seven brother two daughters and two sons in their infanc He leaves to mourn his wife Anna; fiv daughters , Katherine, Martha, Annie, Erm Mary and husband John Unger; one so John Friesen and wife Maria; six grandchi dren; five great-grandchildren; one siste Maria , believed to be living in Russia; a n many relatives and friends.
The funeral was held from the Yarro Church on May 27 , with Rev. A. L. Klasse officiating.
