(MRS.) LENA REGEHR
Lena Regehr was born to Peter ·and Marie Voth on March 20, 1892 in Mountain Lake, Minn. She immigrated to Waldheim, Sask. with her family, where she received her education. She accepted Christ as her Saviour as a young girl, and was baptized and accepted into the Hepburn Mennonite Brethren Church in September, 1929. She remained a faithful member until her death. On December 10, 1910 she married Abram P. Regehr in Langham, Sask. and moved to a homestead west of Hepburn, where they shared many years of married life. They were blessed with five sons and six daughters. She had a quiet and humble spirit. Her faith was unwavering and her prayers were ever for her family. In 1950 the Regehrs retired and made their home in Hepburn. Here she was actively involved in the Senior Ladies' Aid and was a regular member at prayer meetings. In August, 1953 her husband, Abram Regehr, passed away. Later she moved to the "Holiday Home" in Langham, and was eventually transferred to the Sherbrooke Nursing Home in Saskatoon. She passed away April 13, at age 83. She leaves to mourn her passing, five sons: Arthur, Peter and Abe at Hepburn, Frank of Portland, Oregon, and Harvey of Saskatoon; six daughters: Martha (Mrs . George) Fast, Elsie (Mrs. Jack) Friesen, both of Saskatoon, Edna (Mrs. Isaac) Loewen, Waldheim, Elvera (Mrs. Elmer) Adrian, Hepburn, (Mrs.) Verna Siemens, Vernon, B.C. and Linda (Mrs. Lawrence) Schmidt, Biggar, Sask.; 29 grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren, three brothers, three sisters and a host of friends. Funeral services were held from the Hepburn Church, April 16, with Rev. John Klassen and Rev. Otto Doerksen officiating.
