&#8212;  Isaac Schmidt, 71, formerly of Marion county and a resident of Newton since 1950, died Thursday evening, May 26, at the Bethel Deaconess hospital.  Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Tabor Mennonite church, Rev. James Waltner officiating.  A retired farmer, Mr. Schmidt is survived by his widow, Gertrude, one son, four daughters, four brothers, one sister and one foster sister.
