Mr. Balzer died Thursday morning at the home on Route 2, Newton, where he had resided since 1917. Surviving are his widow, the former Sarah Schroeder; one son, Elmer Balzer of Newton; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. J. B. Frey of Prescott, Ariz. and Mrs. Peter R. Fast of Goessel. |

• Funeral services for David Balzer, 77, lifelong resident of Marion County, were held Saturday afternoon at the Tabor Mennonite Church, with Rev. James Waltner officiating.
