DAVID WESLEY BERG
David Wesley Berg was born at Kirk, Colorado, U.S.A . on January 4, 1894 to Wilhelm and Katharina (nee Bergthold) Berg. He spent his childhood and most of his youth in the U.S.A. At age 16, following his conversion, he was baptized and accepted into the North Hoffnungsfeld Mennonite Brethren Church at Fairview, Oklahoma.
In January, 1924, he was married to Agnes Dahl at Colby (Salem) Kansas. The marriage was blessed with three sons and two daughters. In 1924 they came to Waldheim, Sask., but went to California a few years later to attend the Bible Institute of Los Angeles (BIOLA) and then returned to farm at Waldheirn. Here he also managed the local co-op business for a number of years. On October 5, 1937, while the family was young, it pleased the Lord to call home his beloved wife, Agnes.
